Role Description The Quality Expert Accounts Receivable – Hospital Billing is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for reviewing hospital billing and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance with client guidelines, and adherence to payer requirements. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing AR reports, identifying trends and root causes for denials or payment delays, and performing detailed quality checks on billing and follow-up activities.
The Quality
Expert collaborates with billing, coding,
and operations teams to drive process improvements, reduce errors, and support optimized revenue cycle performance. This role also involves documenting quality findings, providing feedback and training support to team members, and contributing to standard operating procedures to maintain high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate AR data, identify patterns, and recommend corrective actions.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance within hospital billing or revenue cycle processes.
- Knowledge of Quality Management principles to design, monitor, and improve quality workflows and metrics.
- Understanding of Quality Systems used to track performance, manage audits, and maintain documentation.
- Experience in hospital billing, accounts receivable, and US healthcare revenue cycle operations.
- Ability to interpret payer policies, EOBs, and denial codes, and communicate findings clearly.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and AR reporting tools for data analysis and performance tracking.
- Attention to detail, robust time management, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Relevant education in commerce, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field; prior experience in a similar quality-focused AR role is preferred.
