About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented QA Software Tester to join our product team and ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of EthicFin's accounting platform. You'll work closely with developers and the project manager to test new features, track down bugs, and make sure releases go out clean. This is a great role for someone early in their QA career who wants to grow into a more senior testing or QA lead position.

Key Responsibilities

- Test current features and updates across web and mobile modules before release
- Write and execute manual test cases based on requirements and user stories
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly (steps to reproduce, screenshots, severity)
- Perform regression testing after bug fixes and feature updates
- Work closely with developers to verify fixes and clarify issues
- Test across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes
- Verify ZATCA compliance-related workflows behave as expected (invoicing,



tax calculations, etc.)
- Maintain test documentation and help build out a more structured QA process over time
- Participate in sprint planning and release cycles, flagging risks early

Requirements

- 6 months to 1 year of hands-on QA/software testing experience (internship experience counts)
- Solid understanding of manual testing concepts: test case design, bug lifecycle, test types (functional, regression, UI, smoke, etc.)
- Comfortable using bug tracking tools (Jira, Trello, or similar)
- Basic understanding of how web/mobile applications work
- Sharp eye for detail and a genuinely curious, "break it before the user does" mindset
- Good written communication — you'll be writing bug reports developers can act on without back-and-forth
- Willingness to learn automation testing tools over time (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) is a plus, not required

Nice to Have

- Exposure to accounting/fintech software or ERP systems
- Basic SQL knowledge for data verification
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman
- Any exposure to automated testing frameworks
