Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python Django Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, Django, REST APIs, database management, and backend architecture, along with experience working in an Agile development environment.

The candidate will work closely with senior developers, QA, frontend, DevOps, and product teams to develop new features, troubleshoot issues, improve application performance, and maintain high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
- Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and well-structured user stories/tasks.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and backend services.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases and ensure efficient data management.
- Develop and maintain modular or microservices-based applications.
- Implement clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and production issues by performing root-cause analysis.
- Monitor application performance and contribute to improving system reliability and scalability.
- Work with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing where required.
- Collaborate with Frontend, QA, DevOps, Product,



and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Follow secure coding practices and consider application security while developing and reviewing code.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for APIs, features, and services.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Support continuous improvement of development processes, application quality, and team practices.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django.
- Strong understanding of REST API development and API lifecycle management.
- Experience designing and developing scalable backend applications.
- Good understanding of microservices or modular application architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL/MS SQL.
- Experience with Redis, MongoDB, or other NoSQL technologies is an advantage.
- Good understanding of Git and version control systems.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with application testing using Pytest, unittest,



or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth/JWT.
- Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Celery, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven technologies.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications.
- Exposure to Azure services such as AKS, Azure AD, Event Hub, Application Gateway, or Azure networking.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with financial, payment, ERP, SaaS, or other enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with secure application development and data protection practices.
- Exposure to performance optimization and distributed systems.
