Position: Multi-Skill Technician (MST) – Repair & Maintenance

Role Purpose The Multi-Skill Technician (MST) will be responsible for handling day-to-day repair, maintenance, and technical requirements across Purplle retail stores. The role involves ensuring that stores remain safe, functional, and operational with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Store Maintenance

- Attend to day-to-day maintenance and repair requirements at Purplle stores.
- Identify and resolve basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
- Handle preventive maintenance of store equipment and facilities.
- Ensure timely closure of maintenance complaints and service requests.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialised repair work when required.

Electrical & Equipment Maintenance
- Troubleshoot basic electrical issues such as switches, sockets, lights, MCBs, wiring, etc.
- Check and maintain lighting, signage, and other electrical fixtures.
- Support maintenance of AC, exhaust, fans, and other store equipment.
- Report major electrical or technical faults to the concerned team/vendor.

Plumbing & Civil Work
- Attend to basic plumbing issues such as leakage, taps, drainage, and fittings.
- Handle minor carpentry and civil maintenance requirements.
- Support repair of doors, locks, shelves, fixtures, and other store infrastructure.

Preventive Maintenance & Safety
- Conduct regular inspection of store facilities.




- Identify potential maintenance and safety issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain proper safety standards while carrying out repair work.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and appropriately.

Vendor Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, AC technicians, and other vendors when required.
- Verify completed work and report maintenance status.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and pending issues.
- Escalate major or recurring issues to the reporting manager.

Candidate Profile Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field preferred.

Experience:

- 1–5 years of experience in maintenance, electrical, facility management, or a similar technical role.
- Experience in retail stores, malls, commercial buildings, or similar environments will be an advantage.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical maintenance.
- Basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel between stores within the assigned area.
- Ability to work flexible/rotational schedules when required.
