Role Description This is a full-time, in office Purchase Specialist role based in Kolkata.

The Purchase

Specialist will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting quotes, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment, and maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation.

Specialist will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to align purchasing decisions with demand forecasts, budget guidelines, and quality standards.



The role also includes tracking vendor performance, resolving discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement in purchasing processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Purchasing Processes and Purchasing, including vendor selection and negotiation.
- Candidates should have experience in Purchase Management and handling Purchase Orders accurately and efficiently.
- Candidates should demonstrate solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, optimize purchasing decisions, and manage costs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and ERP or procurement software is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or procurement role is preferred.
- A relevant diploma or degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is an advantage.
