Company Description Hindustan Ferro Alloy Industries Pvt. Ltd. is a Pune-based manufacturer specializing in bright bars in round, square, hex, and flat profiles, produced in various grades of mild steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel.

The company builds on over two decades of experience in the steel and alloy metal market under the trade name “Shree Ambika Metal Corporation” as dealers and stockists in Pune and surrounding areas. To strengthen its business profile, the organization established a processing unit and in-house bright bar manufacturing setup in 2006. In addition to manufacturing bright bars, the company processes a wide range of mild and carbon steel as distributors, dealers, and stockists.

Products are manufactured to specific mechanical property requirements and are supported by test certificates and MPI/UT certifications as needed.

Role Description The Purchase Director is a full-time, in office role based in Pune, responsible for overseeing all purchasing and procurement activities for steel, alloy materials, and related supplies. This role manages supplier selection, evaluates vendor performance, and negotiates contracts to ensure cost-effective and timely availability of materials.

The Purchase

Director develops and implements purchasing strategies, maintains optimal inventory levels, and coordinates closely with production, quality, and finance teams to align material availability with manufacturing plans.



Daily tasks include reviewing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and resolving any supply chain issues. The role also involves analyzing market trends, identifying new sourcing opportunities, ensuring compliance with company policies, and generating periodic reports on purchasing performance and cost savings.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Purchasing Processes and Procurement, with the ability to manage end-to-end sourcing activities.
- Proven experience in Purchase Management and Purchasing, including vendor development and inventory coordination.
- Demonstrated skills in Contract Negotiation, with a track record of achieving favorable terms and long-term supplier relationships.
- Experience in the steel, metals, or manufacturing industry, preferably with exposure to bright bars or related products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and cost-optimization skills, with proficiency in ERP or purchasing software.
- Effective communication, leadership, and team management capabilities, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
