About the Role The Term Insurance Business Unit relies on sharp, high-volume data operationalization to track distribution productivity, quality indicators, and core performance metrics across sales channels. This role sits at the center of our business management and operations enablement effort. We are looking for someone who operates seamlessly with large-scale datasets, excels in MS Excel, and can independently own performance reporting across the Term portfolio.

You will be responsible for creating continuous visibility into channel performance, surfacing metrics around product fit and persistency, and pinpointing bottom-quartile performers or compliance lags to enable target-driven interventions.

Responsibilities

- Manage Business & Operational Datasets: Extract, clean, and consolidate large daily/weekly datasets covering Term Insurance sales, policy issuance, distribution channels, and customer profiles.
- Track Business Metrics & Outliers: Monitor productivity baselines, product-fit indicators, customer alignment, and persistency metrics to identify low-performing agents, partners, or distribution units.
- Build & Publish Core MIS Dashboards: Design, automate, and publish high-accuracy daily, weekly, and monthly business trackers, performance scorecards, and operational status reports for business leadership.
- Data Reconciliation & Accuracy: Conduct routine reconciliation across core business systems to ensure zero discrepancies in published numbers and KPI scorecards.
- Drive Performance & Exit Recommendations:



Prepare transparent, data-backed cuts highlighting consistent non-performance, low conversion rates, and policy non-compliance to support channel review and optimization decisions.
- Partner with Business Leads: Work closely with distribution, compliance, and quality teams to provide rapid ad-hoc data reporting and monitor whether corrective interventions improve metrics over time.

Key Deliverables

- Daily, error-free publishing of key Term Business trackers and performance scorecards.
- Clear operational visibility into bottom-tier metrics, allowing business leads to act quickly on low performers.
- Streamlined data workflows through Excel automation, significantly reducing report turnaround times.

Qualifications

- 4 to 7 years of experience in a dedicated MIS, Business Reporting, or Operational Analytics role (preferably in Life Insurance, Term Insurance, or Financial Services).

Required Skills

- Advanced MS Excel Skills: Expert in handling large datasets, Pivot Tables, complex lookup functions (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), Power Query, and dynamic dashboards. Exposure to SQL or VBA/Macros is a strong advantage.
- Metric & Performance-Driven: Strong focus on target adherence, persistency, quality metrics, and performance tracking.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in handling raw data cuts, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling source data.
- High Ownership: Ability to work against tight business timelines and manage daily reporting commitments with minimal oversight.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to SQL or VBA/Macros is a strong advantage.
