ABOUT MANDRAKE BIO

Mandrake Bio is an AI-biology research lab building models that understand and design biology. We combine AI, biological data, biophysics, compute and wet-lab feedback to develop programmable proteins and gene-editing systems.

We are a small, talent-dense team backed by Activate, Antler, DeVC, Spectrum Impact and others.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a high-agency Operations Associate who can make the entire company move faster.

You’ll take ownership of the operational work behind our research- from procurement, vendors and finance coordination to hiring logistics and workplace operations.

This is not a passive administrative role. You’ll be expected to notice problems early, create systems where none exist and reliably take things from “someone should handle this” to done.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Run day-to-day office and research operations
Manage procurement, inventory, vendors, quotations, shipping and follow-ups
Coordinate invoices, payments, budgets and documentation with our finance partners
Support hiring, interview scheduling, onboarding and employee operations
Organize travel, meetings, visitors and company events




Build simple processes and trackers that make recurring work more reliable
Take ownership of urgent, ambiguous projects that do not fit neatly into anyone else’s role

Prior operations or startup experience is practical but not mandatory. A biotechnology background is not required, however a prior role with a high growth biotech startup is a huge plus.

COMPENSATION AND ADVANTAGES

Salary: ₹60,000–₹80,000 per month, based on experience

Benefits: Health Insurance, Enterprise AI Tools and travel allowances as needed

Location: Koramangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka

Format: Full time and on-site
