Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Production Support Engineer with strong Java expertise to lead production support activities and ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of critical applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java application troubleshooting, AWS, production support, incident management, monitoring, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead production incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and errors.
- Perform RCA, post-mortems, and preventive actions for recurring incidents.
- Lead and mentor production support engineers.
- Troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot applications, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Analyze application logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, JVM performance, and garbage collection.
- Troubleshoot Java application servers such as Tomcat/Jetty.
- Support applications hosted on AWS including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure, networking, security, and application-related issues.
- Monitor systems using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual support activities.
- Troubleshoot frontend and API issues using browser Developer Tools (F12).
- Analyze network requests, API responses, JavaScript console errors, cookies, sessions,



and frontend performance.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and other technical teams.
- Maintain runbooks, support documentation, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support and critical incident management.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development/support experience
- 3+ years of Production Support / SRE experience
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot
- Good understanding of JVM internals and performance tuning
- Experience with Java application servers – Tomcat/Jetty
- Strong AWS knowledge: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB
- Experience with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray
- Positive understanding of VPC, Security Groups, IAM, ALB, API Gateway
- Strong Linux/Unix command-line skills
- Experience with SQL/database troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Maven/Gradle
- Experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting
- Hands-on experience with monitoring/APM/logging tools
- Strong knowledge of browser Developer Tools (F12) for frontend/API troubleshooting
- Experience leading or mentoring support teams for 2+ years
- Strong incident management, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Profile Candidates with experience in Java-based microservices, AWS production environments, application performance troubleshooting, distributed systems, automation, and 24/7 production support will be preferred.

Immediate joiners / candidates with short notice period are preferred.
