About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Japanese Production Manager to manage and improve production operations at our furniture manufacturing facility in Manesar. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Japanese manufacturing practices, production planning, quality control, process improvement, and team management.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth factory operations while maintaining Japanese standards of quality, efficiency, productivity, safety, and continuous improvement (Kaizen).

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, manage, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Develop production schedules based on orders, capacity, manpower, and delivery requirements.
- Establish and maintain Japanese manufacturing standards and work processes.
- Implement Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production efficiency, productivity, wastage, and machine utilization.
- Ensure consistent product quality and reduce defects, rework, and rejection.
- Coordinate with Design, Planning, Purchase, Quality, Stores, and Project/Execution teams.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Train and develop Indian production staff and supervisors in Japanese work practices.
- Maintain proper documentation, SOPs, production reports, and quality records.




- Ensure timely completion of production as per project/order schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers whenever required for production-related requirements.
- Ensure compliance with factory safety, housekeeping, and operational standards.
- Monitor raw material consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Conduct regular production meetings and report performance to management.
- Support the management in improving factory capacity, processes, and overall productivity.

Required Qualifications &
- Experience
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Furniture Technology, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, interior products, or a related manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience working in a Japanese manufacturing environment will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Management.
- Experience in managing production teams and factory operations.
- Strong understanding of furniture production processes, materials, machinery, and finishing.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Indian employees and local management.

Preferred Candidate Profile





- Japanese nationality / Japanese-speaking qualified preferred.
- Experience in India or familiarity with Indian manufacturing operations will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Japanese quality and production standards.
- Hands-on and practical approach to factory management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Japanese management and Indian teams.
- Willingness to be based in Manesar, Haryana.
