Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our Sofa/Upholstery Production department.

The Production

Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the productive and effective manufacturing of upholstered furniture, ensuring quality standards are met while optimizing production processes, minimizing costs, and meeting production deadlines. The role involves close collaboration with the design, quality control, and operations teams to improve the overall productivity and quality of sofa and upholstery products.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

- Oversee daily production activities in the sofa and upholstery manufacturing unit.
- Develop and implement efficient production processes, workflows, and layouts.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, optimizing resources and labor to meet deadlines.
- Continuously monitor production efficiency and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Process Improvement:

- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in terms of cost, time, and quality.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and 5S principles, to increase production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Design and implement new processes or modifications to existing production lines to enhance performance.

Quality Control:





- Ensure all manufactured products meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to implement quality checks throughout the production cycle.
- Identify and resolve production issues that may affect product quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of materials and finished products for compliance with safety, durability, and aesthetic standards.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on daily output, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
- Analyze production data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control for the production department.
- Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Maintain safety standards and ensure adherence to 5S practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production engineering role within a furniture, upholstery, or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in furniture production processes, particularly in sofa and upholstery manufacturing, is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge in Bill of Materials (BOM) and costing preparation.
