Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the chance to Optimizes the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.

As a Tooling Specialist, you will support for ABB India – Electrification, Smart Power Business to be based at Nelamangala – Bangalore.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Material & Process Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of ferrous, non-ferrous, and insulation materials, with practical experience in sheet-metal and non-ferrous stamping, hot/cold forging, machining, assemblies, heat treatment, and surface treatment processes.
- Tooling & Manufacturing Development: Oversee development and validation of press tools, molds, gauges, fixtures, and sub-assemblies; review DFM and ensure tooling meets required standards for precision, durability, quality, and manufacturability.
- Supplier Development & Localization: Identify and develop suitable Indian suppliers, lead part localization based on engineering drawings and specifications, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely development and regular supply of critical parts.
