Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Delivery Lead – Data & AI to lead the delivery of a development squad based in India. The role will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, Data & AI teams, and software development teams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating business priorities into clearly defined product requirements and actionable development work, while owning the product backlog, driving Agile delivery, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation through production and continuous improvement.

This role requires strong product ownership, delivery management, business analysis, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across countries, cultures, and time zones.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Ownership & Backlog Management

- Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, business rules, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Build, prioritise, and continuously maintain the product backlog based on business value, feasibility, risks, dependencies, and strategic priorities.
- Define and maintain a realistic product roadmap in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
- Make prioritisation decisions and product trade-offs transparent and clearly communicate the rationale to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including:

- Backlog refinement

- Sprint planning

- Sprint reviews

- Retrospectives

- Squad synchronisation meetings
- Ensure the development team has sufficient functional clarity to execute planned work effectively.

1. Squad Delivery & • Local Leadership

- Act as the day-to-day Product Owner and Delivery Lead for the India-based development squad.
- Provide functional, business, and delivery clarification to developers throughout the development lifecycle.

- Monitor delivery progress, quality, team capacity, dependencies, risks, and blockers.




- Coordinate with Data & • AI, IT, Security, Architecture, and Business teams to ensure successful delivery.

- Drive product demonstrations, business acceptance testing, production readiness, deployment coordination, and post-production follow-up.
- Provide concise and proactive delivery updates to stakeholders.
- Identify, manage, and escalate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers in a timely manner.

- Build strong team dynamics within the local squad while maintaining alignment with international stakeholders.
- Ensure effective coordination between the India-based squad and distributed global teams.

1. Adoption & • Continuous Improvement

- Collaborate with Change Management teams to support user communication, training, rollout, and adoption activities where required.
- Gather user feedback and monitor product usage, adoption, and delivered business value.

- Convert user feedback and business insights into product enhancements and future backlog items.
- Continuously improve collaboration, communication, and delivery practices between the India-based squad and international stakeholders.

Required Skills & • Experience

- 6+ years of overall professional experience, with relevant experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Delivery Management, Business Analysis, or a closely related role.

- Proven experience working directly with software development teams.




- Demonstrated experience owning and managing a product backlog from requirement definition through delivery.

- Experience leading or coordinating offshore, distributed, or cross-functional development teams is preferred.
