About Avaz
Avaz AAC is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication app that gives children and adults with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, aphasia, and apraxia a voice of their own to communicate and build meaningful connections. Avaz AAC is a picture- and text-based communication app designed for children and adults with complex communication needs.
Our mission is to make effective communication accessible to every person who needs it. Achieving this requires us to understand communicators and their support networks deeply, translate that understanding into reliable products, and continuously improve the communication experience.
About the team
We are a team of passionate individuals working towards a more accessible and inclusive world where everyone has the prospect to communicate and be heard. Our team brings together product management, design, engineering, QA, clinical content, customer support and marketing, with empathy at the centre of how we work.
We create space for fresh ideas, different perspectives and thoughtful experimentation. Team members are encouraged to question assumptions, explore new approaches and learn directly from the people who use our products. We believe meaningful innovation comes from combining curiosity, open collaboration and a deep understanding of our users.

Role and Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development of features within Avaz AAC, from problem discovery and definition to execution, release and iteration.

- Turn needs, data, and company priorities into clear PRDs, specs, and acceptance criteria, and use quick flows and low-fi prototypes in Figma to share ideas and gather feedback before building.
- Decide what to build and in what order, balancing competing needs, then drive it to launch by partnering across engineering, design, QA, clinical content, support, and marketing.
- Manage feature and release execution, including scope, dependencies, beta testing, release readiness, stakeholder communication, launch coordination and post-launch improvement.
- Maintain an understanding of the AAC market and wider industry. Periodically review comparable products and relevant trends to inform product decisions.

- Experience using qualitative customer research and quantitative product data to identify opportunities and measure outcomes.
- An iterative working style, with a willingness to test assumptions early, incorporate feedback and improve products through successive releases.
- Strong collaborator and communicator who drives execution and keeps cross-functional stakeholders aligned.
Good to have
- Experience in AAC, assistive technology, accessibility, health technology, special education, or another product area serving people with diverse needs.
- Experience building consumer mobile applications or products used by multiple user groups.
- Familiarity with multilingual products, offline or low-connectivity use cases, accessibility-sensitive workflows, or privacy-sensitive customer research.
