Role Description The Product Designer (Art Kits) will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and refining art and craft kits that align with Hobby Ghar’s creative vision and customer needs. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves translating user insights into kit concepts, defining materials and packaging, and ensuring each kit delivers an engaging, safe, and easy-to-follow experience.

Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with instructors and operations teams, conducting user feedback sessions, iterating on kit designs,



and maintaining brand-consistent visual and instructional elements.

The Product

Designer will also document design specifications, work with vendors for sourcing and production, and contribute to continuous improvement of kits based on data and user research.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Product Design and Design Thinking skills to create user-centered, scalable art kit experiences.
- Candidates should possess solid User Research and UX Research skills to gather insights, test concepts, and refine kits based on real user feedback.
- Candidates should possess Visual Design skills to develop clear, appealing kit layouts, packaging, and instructional materials.
- Relevant experience in designing consumer products, DIY kits, or educational materials, preferably within art, craft, or hobby domains.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and work on-site at Hobby Ghar studios in Bengaluru.
- Solid communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalents).
- Degree or certification in Product Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
