Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Category Manager role based in Mumbai. The role involves managing assigned procurement categories end-to-end, including developing category strategies, analyzing spend, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and value creation.

The Procurement Category

Manager will lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation activities to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing for goods and services. The position requires close collaboration with operations, finance, and supply chain teams to forecast demand, align procurement plans with business needs, and mitigate risks in the supply base. The role also includes monitoring supplier performance, driving continuous improvement,



and supporting process standardization and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

- Strong category management skills, including developing category strategies and managing end-to-end procurement for assigned categories
- Experience in supplier evaluation and supplier negotiation to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Solid analytical skills, with experience in spend analysis, cost benchmarking, and data-driven decision making.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contracts, and compliance, preferably within retail, QSR, FMCG, or similar industries.
- Effective stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
