Private Chef

Location: Pune Employment Type: Full-Time | Live-Out

Salary: 70,000 – 75,000 per month

Working Hours: 11–12 hours per day, including breaks

Weekly Off: 1 day

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Private Chef to manage the daily cooking requirements of a family of four at their private villa in Sangli, near Pune. The ideal candidate should have strong multi-cuisine cooking skills along with basic knowledge of Maharashtrian cuisine. The chef will be responsible for planning and preparing daily meals for the family and preparing food for guests and small gatherings when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family.
- Prepare a variety of dishes across multiple cuisines.
- Have a good understanding of basic Maharashtrian cuisine and dishes.
- Create varied weekly and monthly menus in consultation with the family.
- Prepare meals for guests and small gatherings as required.
- Ensure food is prepared on time according to the family's daily schedule.
- Manage grocery requirements, kitchen inventory, and supplies.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Keep the kitchen organised, well-stocked, and efficiently managed.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control.




- Be flexible with menu requirements and accommodate the family's preferences.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 4+ years of skilled cooking experience.
- Experience in a hospitality, private household, or similar professional setup preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in multi-cuisine cooking.
- Basic to good knowledge of Maharashtrian cuisine.
- Culinary qualification or relevant professional cooking experience.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to independently plan menus and manage daily meal preparation.
- Comfortable preparing meals for guests and small gatherings at short notice.
- Well-organised, reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Should be comfortable working closely with a private family.
- Must maintain discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.

- Family: 4 members
- Current Staff: Approximately 10 household staff, including maids, cooks, gardeners, etc.
- Role: Private Chef for the family

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: 70,000 – 75,000 per month
- Salary may be increased depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and suitability.
- Live-Out Position
- 1 weekly off
- 11–12 working hours per day, inclusive of breaks
