Role Overview

Akino Capital is our new entity, executing cutting-edge quantitative strategies across global markets, operating from India's premier international financial hub (GIFT City). We bridge domestic infrastructure with global capital markets. As we scale our cross-border investment strategies from India's premier international hub, we are seeking a highly driven Principal Officer (PO) to oversee fund deployment, portfolio strategy, and high-level governance.

Working side-by-side with our dedicated Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), you will focus strictly on the commercial, strategic and portfolio execution requirements of our international funds while maintaining regulatory alignment. Immediate joiners who can navigate the IFSCA ecosystem quickly will be highly prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

- Cross-Border Fund & Portfolio Management: Oversee the deployment and performance of systematic, global investment strategies. Manage inbound and outbound capital allocations across international jurisdictions.
- Strategic Growth & Structuring: Scale Akino's cross-border fund structures within GIFT City. Liaise with institutional investors, custodians, and global prime brokers.
- Collaborative Governance:



Partner closely with the internal Chief Compliance Officer to ensure all portfolio strategies, fund marketing materials, and investment mandates comply with IFSCA Fund Management Regulations.
- Operations & Risk Control: Direct daily operational management of the IFSC entity, managing liquidity risk, execution parameters, and cross-border settlement processes.

Mandatory Qualifications & Regulatory Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of qualified experience in cross-border fund management, global asset management, securities markets or institutional capital markets operations.
- Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, or Capital Markets from a recognized institution.
- IFSCA Compliance: Must fulfill the "Fit and Proper Person" criteria outlined under the IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations.
- Timeline: Immediate availability or a short notice period (under 30 days) is strongly preferred.
- Location: Must reside in or be ready to relocate immediately to GIFT IFSC, Gandhinagar.
