Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary Principal to lead the Maharashtra State Board Junior College for Grades 11 and 12 across Science, Commerce, and Arts streams, with responsibility for academic excellence, institutional leadership, and the effective implementation of an integrated curriculum incorporating JEE, NEET, MHT-CET, CA Foundation, and CS Foundation programs.

The role will be responsible for academic excellence, student outcomes, admissions growth, staff development, institutional operations, compliance, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Campus Leadership

- Provide strategic leadership for academic excellence and holistic student development.
- Oversee the Maharashtra State Board (HSC) curriculum for Grades 11 and 12 across Science, Commerce, and Arts.
- Solid knowledge of Competitive exams - JEE, NEET, and MHT-CET
- Monitor teaching-learning, assessments, academic results, and improvement plans.
- Ensure effective preparation for Board and competitive examinations.
- Promote innovative, experiential, technology-enabled, and outcome-oriented education.
- Coordinate closely with the MIT VGS Head Office team on academic, administrative, HR, admissions, finance, and institutional matters.

2. Admissions & Business Growth

- Lead admissions strategy and achieve enrolment targets.
- Build strong relationships with parents, students, and the community.
- Drive counselling, parent engagement, campus visits, marketing, and outreach initiatives.
- Support sustainable enrolment and revenue growth.

3. Operations & Administration

- Oversee day-to-day academic and administrative operations.




- Ensure standards of infrastructure, safety, security, and compliance.
- Oversee facilities, transport, food services, vendors, and support functions.
- Ensure effective resource utilization and smooth campus functioning.

4.Financial & P&L; Management

- Take overall ownership of campus Profit & Loss (P&L;).
- Prepare and monitor budgets and financial performance.
- Drive revenue growth while optimizing operational costs.
- Ensure financial discipline and effective resource allocation.

5.Academic Excellence

- Ensure strong execution and effective implementation of the curriculum across all grades and streams.
- Drive a learner-centric and outcome-oriented academic approach.
- Mentor teachers and monitor teaching quality and student performance.
- Drive academic improvement and effective Board examination preparation.
- Possess solid knowledge of JEE and NEET.

6.Compliance & Governance

- Ensure compliance with Maharashtra State Board (HSC) regulations applicable to the Junior College.
- Ensure compliance with NEP 2020 and applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain academic, administrative, and statutory records.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and accreditation activities.
- Ensure high standards of discipline, safety, and child protection.

7. Staff Leadership & Development

- Lead recruitment,



performance management, training, and professional development in coordination with HR.
- Ensure effective workload allocation, timetabling, accountability, and resource utilization.
- Build a collaborative and performance-driven culture.

8. Student Development

- Ensure a safe, inclusive, disciplined, and student-centric environment.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, academic progress, and student wellbeing.
- Promote sports, co-curricular activities, Olympiads, competitions, leadership, mentoring, and counselling initiatives.

Educational Qualification

- Master’s Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics.
- B.Ed. / M.Ed. preferred.
- Additional qualification in Educational Leadership / Academic Administration will be an advantage.

Experience

- 10+ years of experience in teaching and academic administration.
- 8+ years of experience in a Senior Leadership / Principal role in a reputed CBSE School and/or Junior College.
- Experience managing CBSE and/or Maharashtra State Board institutions will be preferred.
- Proven track record in academic excellence, competitive examination outcomes, admissions growth, staff performance, and institutional effectiveness.
- Experience in P&L; management, budgeting, and campus operations will be an advantage.
