Role Summary The L3 Senior Network Engineer / Architect owns network architecture and design across routers, switches, and firewalls, leads major network incidents, and drives security, resilience, and optimization across the hybrid, multi-cloud, and carrier estate. This is a priority role for the engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Design network architecture (LAN/WAN/hybrid) including redundancy, HA, and failover
Architect Palo Alto firewalls (incl. PA-400 series) & Panorama; design and optimize Cisco Meraki SD-WAN • Set standards for configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls; lead network security architecture (segmentation, IPS/IDS, NAC)
Govern telecom / carrier managed services and circuits (e.g., Verizon links) — capacity, SLAs, and escalations
Architect and govern Infoblox DDI — DNS, DHCP, and IPAM strategy and standards
Engineer cloud networking (Azure VNet, OCI VCN, peering,
multi-cloud interconnect); lead capacity and change/risk management
Act as incident commander for major network incidents and mentor L1/L2 engineers
Must-Have Skills & Experience
8–12+ years in network engineering/architecture (L3)
Palo Alto firewalls incl. PA-400 series & Panorama architecture; Cisco Meraki SD-WAN design
Architecture and configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls
Deep network security (segmentation, IPS/IDS, NAC); redundancy/HA/failover design
Telecom / carrier managed services and circuits (e.g., Verizon links); cloud networking
Infoblox DDI — DNS, DHCP, and IPAM architecture and governance
Qualifications & Certifications
PCNSE required; CCNP or CCIE preferred; Cisco Meraki certification a plus; Bachelor's degree
