An HVAC technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.Key Responsibilities
Installation: Install HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, and ventilation systems, ensuring proper setup and compliance with safety standards.
Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning ducts, checking for leaks, and refilling refrigerants.
Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults. Respond to emergency repair calls promptly.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction.
Documentation:



Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed, including costs and types of services provided.

Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional certifications in HVAC technology are often preferred.
Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC technician is essential, with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and components.
Skills: Solid problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC equipment are crucial.
