Role Description This is a full-time, in office Podcast Editor role based in Mumbai.

The Podcast

Editor will be responsible for editing and mixing podcast audio, ensuring clear sound quality, balanced levels, and smooth transitions. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw recordings, removing errors and filler content, adding intros, outros, music, and sound effects, and aligning episodes with brand and editorial guidelines. The role involves collaborating with producers, hosts, and marketing teams to shape episode structure, meet publishing deadlines,



and optimize content for various audio platforms.

The Podcast

Editor will also manage file naming, archiving, and version control, while maintaining consistency across episodes and series.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess audio editing and mixing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper, or similar DAWs).
- Candidates should possess sound design, noise reduction, and mastering skills to ensure professional, broadcast-quality audio.
- Candidates should possess skills in organizing recordings, managing digital assets, and maintaining a structured workflow for multiple episodes and series.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with hosts, producers, and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess time management and deadline-driven production skills, with the ability to handle parallel projects without compromising quality.
- Relevant experience editing podcasts, radio shows, or audio content for entertainment or media platforms is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in audio engineering, sound design, media production, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with podcast distribution platforms, basic metadata requirements, and audience-focused content optimization is an advantage.
