1. Job Purpose To take complete responsibility for the overall operation, productivity, efficiency, discipline, safety, quality and profitability of the manufacturing plant. The Plant Head will lead all plant functions and ensure timely execution of production plans while maintaining required standards of quality, safety and cost.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Plant & Production Operations

- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day plant operations and production activities.
- Plan, organize and monitor production activities as per customer/project requirements.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
- Monitor utilization and productivity of CNC, VMC, fabrication, welding, machining and other plant facilities.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Improve machine utilization, manpower productivity and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper production planning and execution in coordination with PPC, Projects and other departments.

B. Manpower Management

- Lead and manage plant manpower including supervisors, operators, fitters, welders, helpers and other shop-floor personnel.
- Ensure optimum manpower deployment across various departments and shifts.
- Establish accountability and performance standards for supervisors and departmental heads.
- Maintain discipline, attendance and productivity across the plant.
- Identify manpower requirements and coordinate with HR for recruitment and deployment.

C. Quality Control

- Ensure products are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality & Inspection teams to minimize rejection, rework and customer complaints.




- Establish root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action for recurring quality issues.
- Ensure proper inspection at critical stages of production

D. Maintenance & Machine Reliability

- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of all plant machinery, equipment and utilities.
- Monitor machine downtime and ensure quick resolution of breakdowns.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor critical spare requirements and maintenance costs.
- Improve machine availability and reduce unplanned downtime.

E. Safety & Compliance

- Take overall responsibility for plant safety and secure working practices.
- Ensure strict compliance with PPE, machine safety, fire safety and other applicable safety requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

F. Production Planning & Project Execution

- Review production schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned jobs/projects.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Projects and Dispatch teams.
- Monitor job-wise progress against planned timelines.
- Escalate critical delays, material shortages, quality issues and capacity constraints to management.

G. Cost & Productivity Control

- Control manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials and consumables.
- Monitor scrap, rejection, rework,



overtime and other operational losses.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Develop and implement productivity improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and take corrective action wherever required.

H. Inventory & Material Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase to ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, tools and other requirements.
- Minimize material wastage, excess inventory and production stoppages due to material shortages.
- Ensure proper material handling, storage and traceability.

J. MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly plant performance reports.
- Track KPIs including:
- Production achievement
- Machine utilization
- Manpower productivity
- Rejection & rework
- Machine downtime
- On-time delivery
- Overtime
- Scrap and material wastage
- Safety performance
- Present plant performance and major issues to the management with actionable recommendations.

Pay: ₹561,474.14 - ₹720,000.00 per year
