Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Piping Model Engineer role based in Kochi.

The Piping Model

Engineer will develop and update piping 3D models and layouts for process plants, ensuring alignment with design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with process, mechanical, structural, and instrumentation teams; interpreting P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and vendor drawings; and preparing isometrics and material take-offs.



The role involves performing basic engineering calculations, checking routing feasibility, supporting stress analysis activities, and resolving layout and clash issues within the model.

The engineer will also assist in design reviews, incorporate client and internal feedback, maintain documentation, and support timely delivery of project deliverables.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Piping Design and Piping layout development for process and industrial projects.
- Hands-on experience with Piping and Pipe modeling, including routing, isometrics, and material take-offs.
- Ability to perform relevant engineering Calculations related to piping systems and equipment interfaces.
- Exposure to Stress Analysis of piping systems or willingness to collaborate closely with stress engineers.
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling and CAD tools for piping (e.g., AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS/E3D, Smart 3D, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards for piping design and safety.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret technical drawings, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary project teams and meet project schedules on-site in Kochi.
