Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Apache JMeter to join our QA/Performance Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure applications meet scalability, stability, reliability, and performance requirements.

The candidate should have strong experience in performance testing methodologies, scripting, workload modeling, test execution, bottleneck analysis, and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests .
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using Apache JMeter .
- Create realistic workload models based on application usage patterns and business requirements.
- Configure test scenarios, correlation, parameterization, assertions, timers, controllers, and listeners in JMeter.
- Execute performance tests across different environments and analyze test results.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance during test execution.
- Identify performance bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, database, network, APIs, and application components .
- Analyze JMeter results and prepare detailed performance test reports.
- Work closely with developers, architects, DevOps, and QA teams to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Participate in performance requirement analysis and help define performance acceptance criteria.
- Conduct baseline, benchmark,



capacity, and regression performance testing.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Troubleshoot performance test failures and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Maintain performance testing documentation, scripts, test data, and execution reports.

Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in Performance Testing / Performance Engineering.
- Solid hands-on experience with Apache JMeter .
- Good understanding of Load Testing, Stress Testing, Endurance Testing, Scalability Testing, and Volume Testing .
- Strong experience in scripting, parameterization, correlation, assertions, and workload configuration in JMeter.
- Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs and web applications .
- Valuable understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON, XML, REST APIs, and web technologies .
- Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database performance concepts .
- Ability to analyze server/application metrics and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
