Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our pediatric healthcare team. The role involves diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive management of respiratory and pulmonary disorders in newborns, infants, children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and manage pediatric respiratory conditions including asthma, recurrent pneumonia, chronic cough, wheezing, bronchitis and respiratory infections.
- Manage complex conditions such as chronic lung disease, bronchiectasis, congenital airway/lung abnormalities and sleep-related breathing disorders.
- Provide OPD, inpatient and emergency respiratory care for pediatric patients.
- Evaluate and manage children with acute respiratory distress and respiratory failure, in coordination with the PICU/NICU team.
- Interpret relevant investigations including chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests and sleep studies.
- Perform or assist with specialized procedures such as flexible bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage, where appropriately trained.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups.
- Counsel parents and caregivers regarding medication, inhaler/nebulizer techniques, respiratory care and preventive measures.
- Work collaboratively with Paediatricians, Neonatologists, Intensivists, ENT, Allergy/Immunology and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols and ethical standards.




- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching and awareness programs related to pediatric respiratory health.

Qualification
- MBBS with MD/DNB/DCH in Paediatrics.
- Additional qualification/training in Pediatric Pulmonology / Pediatric Respiratory Medicine preferred.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission / State Medical Council.
- Candidates with relevant fellowship or DM-level pediatric pulmonary training may be preferred, depending on the role.

Experience
- Relevant experience in Pediatric Pulmonology / Pediatric Respiratory Medicine preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in pediatric respiratory care and PICU/NICU collaboration may also be considered.
