Key Responsibilities1. Feed Formulation
Design nutritionally balanced rations for different poultry types and life stages.
Use feed formulation software to meet energy, protein, amino acid, vitamin, and mineral requirements.
Optimize least-cost formulations while maintaining performance standards.
Nutritional Research & Development
Evaluate new raw materials and feed additives (enzymes, probiotics, toxins binders).
Conduct feeding trials and analyze performance data.
Stay updated with guidelines from organizations like National Research Council (NRC).
Quality Control
Assess ingredient quality (moisture, protein, mycotoxins, contaminants).
Coordinate with laboratories for feed testing.
Ensure compliance with feed safety regulations.
Performance Monitoring
Analyze flock performance (FCR, weight gain, egg production, mortality).
Recommend nutritional adjustments based on field data.
Work closely with veterinarians and farm managers.
Cost & Supply Management
Monitor raw material market prices.
Recommend alternative ingredients during shortages.
Control feed production costs without sacrificing quality.
