Key Responsibilities:
Book and dispatch loads efficiently using load boards and broker relationships to maximize truck utilization and revenue
Coordinate daily dispatch operations, including route planning, pickup, and delivery schedules
Communicate with drivers to provide load details, directions, and ongoing support during transit
Perform sales calling to brokers and shippers to secure profitable freight and negotiate competitive rates
Build and maintain robust relationships with brokers, customers, and carriers
Track shipments, monitor driver progress, and proactively resolve delays or issues
Ensure accurate documentation, including rate confirmations, BOLs, and delivery updates
Monitor market rates and adjust pricing strategies to remain competitive
Maintain compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety requirements
Update dispatch and load management systems with accurate and timely information
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proven experience (1+ years) as a Dispatcher, in logistics, or a similar role.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think strategically.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced and dynamic environment.
