Position: Part time Teacher

Working Days: 3 Days in a Week (You can decide which 3 days)

Working Hours: 9.30am - 6.30pm

Location: Sector 23, Next to Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Chandigarh

Local Language - Punjabi is Mandatory

Major Responsibilities:
[A] Teaching:
Prepare each child’s baseline and Individual Education Plan and convert it into lesson plans
Teach children requiring remediation on a one on one situation, as required
Seek assistance of volunteers to fill gaps in the education sessions/ program
Maintain regular daily, weekly and monthly plans and prepare reports as needed
Maintain observations of the children
Maintain attendance of remediation sessions and regular teaching sessions
Record and communicate learning outcomes and other relevant information to the supervisor
Interact with psychologist regarding children’s needs
Interact with parents regarding their child’s progress and issues if any.
Prepare a comprehensive write up about the child’s strengths, difficulties and portions covered, before they leave the center,



to be included in the student folder/ leaving certificate.
Do periodic formative education assessment and summative evaluation and record the same in the child’s folder.
Maintain detailed student folder (worksheets with comments)
Coach and equip children to be ready to appear for exams of their relevant standard/ Board exams
Supervise students’ cleanliness and feeding interventions
Prepare teaching aids as required
Carry out periodic follow-up of children, to assess if they are continuing with their education in their hometown and guide them, as needed
Attend to any additional work asked by the Management.

The Teacher needs to be warm and approachable to the child and the parent. She/ he needs to be prepared and organised to teach their lessons in a explicit and structured way so as to enable students to make progress in every lesson, regardless of each student’s starting point. Teachers
