A Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering friendly customer service. The role ensures smooth billing operations and a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
Greet customers politely and assist them at the billing counter
Scan products and process sales through the POS system
Accept payments (cash, card, UPI, wallets) and issue receipts
Handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate cash balance
Manage returns, exchanges, and basic customer queries
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cash counter
Follow store policies, pricing, and discount guidelines
Report discrepancies or system issues to the supervisor

Skills & Qualifications




Basic math and billing skills
Familiarity with POS machines and digital payments
Valuable communication and customer-handling skills
Honest, attentive, and well-organized
Ability to handle busy hours

Experience & Education
Minimum high school education
Previous retail or cashier experience preferred (training can be provided)
