Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC VTL machines for machining white metal bearings.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and process sheets.
Perform turning, boring, facing, and finishing operations on white metal-lined components.
Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters.
Carry out trial runs, fine-tune programs, and optimize cycle times.
Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and concentricity as per specifications.
Conduct in-process and final inspections using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, dial gauge, etc.).
Monitor tool wear and replace tools as required.
Follow process control, safety, and housekeeping standards (5S).
Identify and troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming, or material behavior of white metal.
Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
Maintain machine logs, inspection records,



and production documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hands-on experience in CNC VTL programming and operation (Fanuc / Siemens / similar controls).
Solid knowledge of white metal bearing machining characteristics.
Valuable understanding of cutting parameters for soft metals and finishing requirements.
Proficiency in G-code programming and manual program editing.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T;) is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and handle responsibility on the shop floor.
Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety.

Preferred Experience
Experience in heavy engineering or bearing manufacturing industries.
Exposure to machining large-diameter components on VTL machines.
Familiarity with bearing inspection practices and customer quality standards.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
