Role Description The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production planning, resource allocation, and coordination between manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams. This full time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves monitoring output, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining safety and compliance across the facility.

Manager will track key performance indicators, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to optimize cost, efficiency, and delivery schedules. The role includes supervising staff, resolving operational issues, collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, and preparing regular reports on performance, inventory, and capacity.

Manager will also work with vendors and service providers to ensure timely supply of materials and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

- Experience in operations management within manufacturing or industrial environments, including production planning and workflow coordination.
- Strong skills in process improvement, quality assurance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Ability to lead and develop teams, manage schedules, and handle performance management and conflict resolution.
- Competence in data analysis, use of ERP or similar systems, and reporting on operational metrics and costs.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and time management.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional internal teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in Indian manufacturing or packaging industries and familiarity with local statutory requirements is beneficial.
