DBT Snowflake

Location: Pune/ Nagpur/ Chennai/ Bangalore

Type of Employment: Full time

Key Result Areas and Activities:
Code conversion, refinement and optimization- Convert complex SSIS transformations into dbt staging/intermediate/mart models, review and validate tool converted dbt transformations to ensure accuracy maintainability alignment with enterprise modelling standards.
Data Quality Framework Implementation -Define reconciliation strategies, implement automated validation checks, and ensure regression coverage across transformation pipeline.
Incremental Pipeline Implementation - Implement incremental loading strategies, snapshots and dependency-aware model execution to support effective and scalable transformation workflows.
Documentation and lineage support - Maintain transformation documentation, mapping logic, testing evidence, and lineage metadata to support governance and audit readiness.




Collaboration & Delivery Support -Work closely with Cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to resolve transformation discrepancies and ensure timely migration delivery
ETL/ELT Development & Integration - Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake-native features or external tools (DBT, Airflow).
Performance Optimization & SQL Tuning - Optimise transformation logic for snowflake execution efficiency insuring balance compute utilization and query performance.
Migration governance and tribute support - Review transformation output, mentor junior engineers to ensure adherence to modelling standards documentation practices and delivery timelines.

Essential Skills:
Solid SQL optimization and transformation design experience
Hands-on experience with dbt core and dbt cloud implementations
Experience designing staging, intermediate, and mart transformation layer
Experience implementing incremental load and SCD type 2 strategies
Experience converting legacy ETL pipelines (SSIS/Informatica/ADF) into ELT
