Role Description The NPD & Sourcing Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru, responsible for driving new product development and end-to-end sourcing for Meolaa’s lifestyle brands. This role involves translating consumer insights and market trends into product concepts, defining product specifications, and managing development timelines from ideation to launch. The manager will identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and manufacturers, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure consistent product quality and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with design, marketing, operations, and finance teams; optimizing costs and lead times; maintaining robust vendor relationships; and monitoring performance metrics across the supply base.



The role also focuses on continuous improvement in sourcing efficiency, risk management, and scalability to support rapid brand expansion.

Qualifications

- Experience in new product development (NPD), including concept development, product specification definition, and managing end-to-end product launch cycles.
- Strong sourcing and procurement skills, including vendor identification, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization.
- Knowledge of FMCG or lifestyle product categories (fashion, beauty, fragrance, personal care), including materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and market research to interpret consumer insights, benchmark competitors, and inform product and sourcing decisions.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities, such as timeline planning, cross-functional coordination, and risk and issue management.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and ethical, sustainable sourcing practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with design, marketing, operations, and finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree or specialized certification in supply chain or procurement is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an FMCG, D2C, or lifestyle brand environment and familiarity with technology-driven workflows or tools for product and supplier management.
