RESPONSIBILITIES

Boiler & Steam-Water Chemistry Management
Monitor and maintain boiler water, feed water, condensate, and steam
chemistry parameters within prescribed limits.
Ensure compliance with plant chemistry guidelines and OEM recommendations.
Perform routine chemical testing and analysis for pH, conductivity, silica,
hardness, phosphate, dissolved oxygen, iron, copper, and alkalinity.
Support optimization of boiler chemical dosing systems and treatment
programs.
Identify chemistry deviations and recommend corrective actions.

FGD Chemistry & Process Monitoring
Monitor FGD process chemistry including limestone slurry quality, gypsum
quality, chloride levels, sulfite/sulfate balance, and pH control.
Ensure optimum reagent consumption and process efficiency.
Analyze FGD effluent quality and support wastewater treatment system
operations.
Assist in troubleshooting scaling, corrosion, fouling, and process upsets
within FGD systems.

Laboratory Operations
Conduct laboratory testing and chemical analysis using standard
methodologies.




Ensure calibration and upkeep of laboratory instruments and analyzers.
Maintain records of analytical results and prepare chemistry performance
reports.
Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards and procedures.

Water Treatment Plant Support
Monitor DM Plant, RO Plant, Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU), and water
treatment systems.
Support regeneration activities and performance monitoring of ion exchange
systems.
Track chemical consumption and inventory management.

Operational Excellence
Support root cause analysis of chemistry-related issues.
Participate in plant shutdowns, startups, preservation activities, and
commissioning support.
Drive initiatives for chemical optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost
reduction.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Setting teams.

Safety & Compliance
Ensure secure handling, storage, and usage of chemicals.
