About The Role WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer on a long-term contract basis. This remote role is ideal for highly experienced network professionals who excel in designing, implementing, and leading complex network solutions within large enterprise or regulated environments.

As a Lead / SME Network Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding engineering teams, developing architectural standards, and ensuring the successful delivery of network infrastructure projects. You will act as a technical authority, working closely with stakeholders and global support teams to transition solutions into operational support, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of demonstrable experience in leading, designing, and deploying complex network solutions within large enterprise or regulated industries. Proven experience as a Lead Engineer on large transformational programs is essential, along with strong technical expertise across multiple network technologies.

Certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise, FortiGate Skilled, or F5 LTM/GTM at the Certified Technical Specialist level or equivalent are highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, ability to consolidate knowledge into comprehensive solutions, and a proactive approach to workload and project management.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert in two or more network technologies, maintaining a working knowledge of additional technologies used within the organization.
- Scope, plan, and lead engineering efforts on large-scale transformational programs and network-led initiatives.
- Design, build, and deploy network infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and architectural standards.
- Develop detailed low-level designs and supporting documentation to facilitate implementation and maintenance.




- Coordinate with global support teams to ensure smooth transition of delivered solutions into operational support environments.
- Ensure all network designs and implementations comply with governance, change management, and risk management policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to meet project objectives, providing timely updates and escalating issues as needed.
- Estimate workloads and delivery timelines accurately, managing project scope and resources effectively.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues and improve network performance.
- Participate in risk assessments and ensure activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
