About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Lead .NET Backend Developer to join our dynamic team on a contractual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services. You will lead the development of RESTful APIs, implement event-driven architectures, and ensure the security and efficiency of our microservices ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, .NET 6/8+, and cloud-based integrations, with a passion for leveraging AI technologies to enhance application capabilities. Qualifications

- Expert-level proficiency in C# with hands-on experience in .NET 6/8+ in production environments.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture patterns.
- Proven experience in building and consuming REST, SOAP, and Webhook integrations.




- Deep knowledge of data interchange formats such as JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers, and flat files.
- Solid grasp of software design principles including SOLID, design patterns, CQRS, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with cloud integration services such as Azure Logic Apps, AWS Lambda, or similar API Gateway solutions.
- Familiarity with message-broker solutions like Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Strong command of SQL Server and Entity Framework Core for data access layers.
- Experience implementing security protocols including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and API Gateway policies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to AI tools and technologies such as MS Co Pilot, Amazon Q, or similar AI integrations is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and own scalable RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core, ensuring they meet production standards from specification through deployment.
- Implement event-driven architecture by integrating message-broker solutions like Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka to facilitate asynchronous and decoupled communication between microservices.
- Write optimized querying logic in C# and LINQ, managing data formats such as JSON and XML across various microservices.
- Develop and maintain clean, efficient data access layers utilizing Entity Framework Core with SQL Server.




- Ensure application security by implementing OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and API Gateway policies, along with end-to-end encryption across all interfaces.
- Automate deployment processes by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to facilitate seamless, reliable releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tools and technologies, enhancing application intelligence and automation capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the solutions delivered are innovative and efficient.
