Role Description The NDT Contracting Manager – Radiography (RT) is a full-time, on-site role based in Thiruvananthapuram. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising radiographic non-destructive testing activities across defense and space projects, ensuring all work meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include managing RT contracts and vendors, scheduling and monitoring inspections, reviewing and approving radiographic procedures and reports, and ensuring proper documentation and recordkeeping.

The role collaborates with engineering, quality assurance, and safety teams to interpret technical requirements, resolve issues, and optimize inspection workflows. The manager also provides guidance to RT technicians, supports training and compliance initiatives, and contributes to continuous improvement of NDT processes and technologies.





Qualifications

- Candidates should possess credentials and experience related to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent professional certification in radiographic disciplines.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Radiologic Technology, with practical experience in radiographic imaging, equipment handling, and radiation safety.
- Candidates should possess knowledge in Radiology and Medicine as they apply to NDT, including understanding of imaging principles, exposure parameters, and safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Nuclear Medicine or radiation physics concepts relevant to radiography, including dose control and shielding practices.
- Candidates should possess experience in NDT radiography (RT) standards and codes, such as ASNT, ISO, or other applicable industry norms, along with contract and project management skills.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, documentation, and report writing abilities, with attention to detail and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and team collaboration skills, and the ability to lead and mentor technical staff in a high-stakes workplace.
- A relevant technical degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology, NDT, Engineering, or a related field, along with prior experience in defense, aerospace, or industrial NDT, will be beneficial.
