We are looking for a passionate, curious and initiative-driven Naturalist who sees the forest as more than a safari destination.

Someone who can understand a landscape, tell its stories, engage guests meaningfully — and, most importantly, take ideas from observation to action.

At Syna Tiger Resort, Bandhavgarh, this role goes beyond conducting safari experiences. We are looking for someone who wants to develop a deep understanding of the forest, its ecology, wildlife, people and changing landscape, while contributing to meaningful nature, conservation and sustainability initiatives.

? THE ROLE• Lead engaging wildlife and nature experiences for our guests

- Develop a strong understanding of the flora, fauna and ecology of Central India
- Interpret animal behaviour, forest systems, water, habitats and the relationship between people and nature
- Conduct nature walks, birding, interpretation sessions and other experiential activities
- Create stories and experiences that help guests understand the landscape, rather than simply identify species
- Observe, document and communicate ecological changes and opportunities
- Research and develop new nature-based experiences and initiatives
- Identify opportunities for habitat improvement, biodiversity enhancement and responsible tourism
- Engage with local communities and understand traditional knowledge and the cultural history of the region
- Work with the wider team to develop long-term conservation, sustainability and landscape-based initiatives

develop and take ownership — not simply fill a Naturalist position.

What can we build for its future?

The prospect is to grow with the role and help shape Syna's relationship with the landscape over the years ahead.

? WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR• Qualified / experienced Naturalist with a genuine passion for wildlife and ecology

- Good knowledge of Central Indian forests; familiarity with Bandhavgarh is an advantage
- Strong communication, interpretation and storytelling skills
- Valid driving licence and confident driving skills are essential
- Comfortable driving and spending extended periods in the field
- Curious, observant and comfortable spending significant time outdoors
- Someone who researches, learns and shares knowledge
- Initiative-driven, proactive and capable of independently developing ideas
- Comfortable working across hospitality, nature, conservation and sustainability
- A team player who wants to contribute beyond their defined

Experience matters. But curiosity, initiative and a genuine connection with nature matter more.
