Job Description
The Cover Teacher – Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons to Secondary students during the absence of regular teachers. The role requires the ability to effectively manage classes, follow the prescribed curriculum and lesson plans, maintain continuity of learning, and create a positive and engaging learning workplace.
The successful candidate should demonstrate strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, adaptability,



and an understanding of an international/IB learning workplace.Job Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning

Deliver planned Mathematics lessons for Secondary students in the absence of the regular teacher.
Follow lesson plans and curriculum requirements to ensure continuity of learning.
Use engaging, student-centred and inquiry-based teaching approaches.
Develop students’ problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Classroom Management

Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom workplace.
Monitor attendance, student engagement and behaviour.
Address and escalate behavioural or safeguarding concerns as required.

Assessment & Student Progress

Monitor student learning and provide appropriate feedback.
Support classroom assessments and activities as required.
Identify students requiring additional support and communicate concerns to the relevant teacher/HOD.
