Operate and monitor medical gas manifold systems (oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, CO₂, vacuum).
Ensure uninterrupted supply of medical gases to OT, ICU, ER, wards, and other clinical areas.
Perform regular checks of cylinder pressure, pipeline pressure, alarms, and reserve banks.
Change gas cylinders safely and timely as per consumption and pressure indicators.
Maintain logbooks for gas usage, cylinder changeover, pressure readings, and alarms.
Respond immediately to manifold alarms, gas leakage, or supply failure incidents.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and replacement of medical gas cylinders.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, fire safety norms, and hospital policies.
Assist biomedical/engineering teams during preventive maintenance and audits (NABH, fire safety, statutory).
Ensure proper storage, segregation, and labeling of full and empty cylinders.
Participate in emergency preparedness drills related to medical gas supply.
