The internship is designed to provide structured learning through practical exercises, coding scenarios, documentation review, and healthcare-focused assignments.

Responsibilities

Review sample clinical documentation and identify relevant medical information.

Apply basic ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts to training cases.

Understand diagnosis and procedure documentation used in healthcare settings.

Assist with coding-related data review and documentation exercises.

Identify missing, unclear, or inconsistent information in sample records.

Participate in practical coding assignments and case-based learning activities.

Maintain accuracy and consistency while working with healthcare information.

Follow confidentiality, documentation, and professional standards during training activities.
