Role Description: This is a full time, on-site 'Mechanical Engineering Intern' role based in Pune. The intern will assist in the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components and assemblies for various robotic platforms.
Daily responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models, supporting prototype build and testing, documenting design changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine mechanical systems. The intern will help perform basic calculations and simulations, participate in design reviews, and support project-related tasks.
Under guidance from senior engineers, the intern will gain hands-on experience with autonomous robotic systems and contribute to continuous improvement of product performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess core Mechanical Engineering knowledge and strong analytical skills.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for modeling, drafting, and revising mechanical components.
- Candidates should possess communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess basic project management skills to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and document progress.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical & Robotics Engineering or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with basic engineering calculations, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune and engage in hands-on prototyping and testing.
- Knowledge of robotics, mechatronics, or automation, and experience with simulation tools or FEA are beneficial.
