They act as advocates for students, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive school workplace. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Individual and Group Counseling:School counselors provide confidential counseling to students on a variety of topics, including academic planning, social-emotional development, and career exploration. They may also facilitate group counseling sessions for students with shared concerns.
Academic Advising and Planning:Counselors help students develop realistic academic goals,
select appropriate courses, and prepare for college and career paths. They may administer assessments to gauge student aptitudes and interests.
Behavioral Support and Intervention:Counselors identify and address behavioral issues that may be impacting a student's academic performance or social well-being. They may collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop individualized behavior plans.
Crisis Response and Mental Health Support:School counselors are prepared to respond to crises, providing immediate support and referral to appropriate resources for students experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
