Position Summary
The Paravet will support veterinary services by assisting veterinarians in animal rescue, treatment, surgery preparation, post-operative care, vaccination drives, and community animal welfare initiatives. The role requires hands-on animal handling skills, compassion, and a commitment to animal welfare standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during field vaccination drives.
Handle and restrain dogs and cats safely during vaccination and treatment.
Support Anti-Rabies Vaccination (ARV) and other immunization programs.
Maintain vaccination records and field reports.
Assist in rescue and emergency animal care activities when required.
Coordinate with local communities and animal feeders during field visits.
Ensure hygiene, safety, and proper handling of medical supplies and equipment.
Travel across assigned field locations in Mumbai for vaccination activities.
Experience Required
Experience handling small animals, especially dogs and cats.
Knowledge of animal vaccination procedures and basic animal healthcare.
Experience in fieldwork, rescue, or NGO animal welfare activities preferred.
Skills Required
Compassion towards animals.
Ability to work in field conditions.
Positive communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and comfortable handling animals.
Basic documentation and reporting skills.
