The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer leads the planning, design, and execution of test strategies to ensure high-quality product delivery. You'll develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing processes across projects.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll validate functionality against quality requirements, identify risks, and recommend improvements to testing standards and practices. You're accountable for ensuring solutions are reliable, fully functional, and deliver a robust user experience.
In this role, you'll also mentor and support QA Engineers and Junior QA Engineers, helping raise the overall quality bar across the team.
Core Job Duties
Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system
Analyze issues related to functionality, performance, usability, and data integrity
Participate in product and design reviews to identify risks and gaps early
Develop and maintain transparent test documentation to ensure repeatability and compliance
Validate system changes prior to release and production deployment
Monitor defect resolution and partner with developers to drive timely fixes
Review technical and functional documentation for accuracy, completeness, and risk mitigation
Provide actionable feedback to improve software usability and quality
Maintain repositories of known defects and test assets
Set up and maintain test settings that mirror production
Collaborate with Engineering, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to diagnose issues and recommend solutions
