Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
Measure, mark, cut, and fit steel plates, beams, channels, angles, and pipes according to specifications.
Align and assemble steel structures before welding or bolting.
Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and measuring instruments.
Check dimensions and ensure proper fit-up of components.
Assist welders during fabrication and erection activities.
Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality compliance.
Follow workplace safety procedures and use required PPE.
Coordinate with supervisors, welders, riggers, and crane operators during installation.
