Role & responsibilities- • Lead and manage PAN-India after-sales service operations for solar inverter products, ensuring timely and effective customer support.
- Manage, guide and monitor a team of around 6 Branch Service In-Charges across different locations/branches.
- Provide technical direction and support to branch service teams for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance and warranty service of solar inverters.
- Monitor service complaints, breakdowns, response time, resolution time and customer satisfaction, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.
- Establish and monitor service processes, escalation mechanisms and reporting systems for PAN-India service operations.
- Coordinate with Sales, Projects, R&D;, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and other internal teams for speedy resolution of technical and customer issues.
- Analyze recurring inverter failures, field issues and warranty cases and coordinate with relevant teams for root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure proper handling of warranty claims, spare parts requirements, service inventory and replacement/repair processes.
- Review service performance of Branch Service In-Charges through regular MIS, dashboards and review meetings, and take corrective actions wherever required.
- Plan and conduct technical training, knowledge sharing and capability-building programs for branch service teams and channel/service partners.
- Support key customers, channel partners and major project sites during critical technical escalations and ensure timely closure.
- Develop and maintain service documentation, technical reports, complaint records, escalation reports and product/service feedback.
- Track field feedback and customer requirements and provide structured inputs to Product Development, Quality and R&D; teams for product improvement.
- Ensure safe working practices and adherence to company policies, service procedures and applicable quality standards during field service activities.
- Travel across India as required for critical customer issues, service reviews, team development and major installations/projects. Qualification &
- Functional Knowledge • B.Tech /B,E MBA or equivalent qualification.
- 15-20 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in solar inverter product service.
- Proven experience in managing PAN-India service operations and leading geographically distributed service teams.
- Strong technical understanding of solar inverter products, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
- Experience in handling customer escalations, warranty/service issues, spare parts and field-service operations.
- Experience in managing and developing Branch Service In-Charges / service engineers and coordinating multi-location service activities.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills with a customer-focused approach.
