Job Summary

Shiksha is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Government Business Development professional to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities with Government Departments, Missions, PSUs and Government Agencies, primarily in Bihar.

The candidate should have prior experience in Government Business Development, Institutional Sales, Government Projects or Government Liaisoning and should possess a good understanding of the Government project/tender ecosystem in Bihar.

Key Responsibilities

Identify new business opportunities with Government Departments, Missions, PSUs and Government Agencies.

Regularly visit and engage with relevant Government departments and institutions across Bihar.

Build and maintain professional relationships with key institutional stakeholders.

Track upcoming Government schemes, EOIs, RFPs and tenders relevant to Shiksha.

Identify opportunities at an early stage and develop a strong business pipeline.

Coordinate preparation of concept notes, proposals, presentations, EOIs and tender submissions.

Represent Shiksha in meetings, pre-bid conferences, presentations and other institutional engagements.

Coordinate internally with Management, Project and Tender teams for opportunity conversion.

Maintain department-wise opportunity and business-development MIS.

Follow up on submitted proposals and ongoing business opportunities.





Work towards measurable targets for new projects and business growth.

Candidate Profile

Graduate/Postgraduate; MBA preferred but not mandatory.

5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Government Business Development.

Prior experience dealing with Bihar Government Departments/Agencies strongly preferred.

Experience in Skill Development, Education, Livelihood, Rural Development, IT/ITES, Training, Manpower, Consulting, CSR or Government Projects will be an advantage.

Understanding of Government tender/RFP processes and institutional procurement.

Solid communication, presentation, networking and negotiation skills.

Willingness to regularly travel and visit Government departments across Bihar.

Should be target-oriented and capable of independently developing new business opportunities.

Preferred Candidate

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate:

Government projects/business opportunities personally developed or converted.

Existing understanding of Bihar's Government project ecosystem.

Experience interacting with senior Government/institutional stakeholders.

Track record of handling Government projects/tenders of significant value.

Strong professional network across relevant Government departments and agencies.

Compensation: Competitive fixed salary + performance-linked incentives.

Work Location: Patna, Bihar

Important: This is a Business Development role and not merely a Tender Executive position. Candidates should have hands-on experience in developing Government/institutional business and generating new project opportunities.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
