Role & responsibilities:

1.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and permits related to mining operations.

Stay up-to-date on changes in mining regulations and advise the company accordingly.

Develop and implement compliance programs to prevent and detect legal violations.

2.Litigation Management:

Manage all legal disputes and litigation, including contract disputes, environmental claims and land rights issues and Arbitration

Work with external counsel when necessary, ensuring cost-effective and efficient legal representation.

Develop and implement strategies for resolving disputes and minimizing legal risks.

3.Contract Management:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, including mining leases, supply contracts, and service agreements.

Ensure that all contracts are legally sound and protect the company's interests.

4.Legal Strategy and Leadership:

Develop and implement the company's legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.





Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior management on all legal matters.

Oversee and manage the legal department, including staff supervision and performance management.

5.Due Diligence and Transactions:

Conduct legal due diligence on potential acquisitions, investments, and other transactions.

Provide legal advice on structuring and closing transactions.

6.Risk Management:

Identify and assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Develop and implement legal procedures and policies to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.

7.Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain solid relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community representatives.

Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations
